12th August 2008

Bournville Trust Community Services arrived with 50 Birmingham residents and were greeted by a group of Telford residents and Bournville staff member Kathleen Hughes at the Horsehay Golf Club. After some refreshments, then embarked on a tour of Telford starting at the new Lightmoor Village where they viewed the showhomes and Village. After spending 30 minutes at Lightmoor the tour continued around parts of Telford including Ironbridge and finally finishing back at the golf club for a buffet lunch. A good time was had by all.

Update 5th August 2008

We are planning to produce a calendar for Shropshire tenants using photographs taken by Bournville tenants in Shropshire. We aim to run a photo competition and the best 12 entries selected will be used in the calendar. Unfortunately this has been suspended due to lack of funds, but we hope to try again next year 2009

I think we will still run the photo competition in the new year, it will be open to young and old.
